It amazes me how much money our professional societies spend on outside firms to make certain their conference websites get worse and worse every single year

Reflections on the Cooperative AI Conference | Platform Cooperativism Consortium
I am just returning from our conference on Cooperative AI in Istanbul. Part of what I love about conferences—what keeps me doing this, convening these global PCC events —is meeting people who are both…

On Conference Speaking
I’ve seen quite a bit of the world thanks to being invited to speak at conferences. Since some people are under the impression that serial conference speakers possess some special talents, I’d like to demystify my process by walking you through my latest talk from start to finish.

Breaking Cliques at Events: The Snowball Rule
I’ve been going to professional events for a number of years, and one of the trickiest dynamics I have seen is that most events develop an “insiders” group who has been going for a long time. These...

Is there already a conference app on AT proto?
