x.comthe reason Threads is showing growth is that it is tied into other things that are not microblogging and to the extent Bluesky grows from here it is likely that atproto will need the same path

the thing about bluesky is dying discourse is that I can't really do anything about it I mean yeah this place is mostly the same people talking to each other, that's true, it's still fun if it shuts down at some point that sucks, I hope it doesn't, that's all I got
It's hard for non-technical people to understand that #atproto (Bluesky, and friends) really is a different breed of social software. One where our data, and connections are no longer taken hostage by the platform and we're free to store our data wherever we want
