Everyone please stop building and posting so much good stuff you are turning me into an unwitting atproto repost bot.

Annoucing Semble Connections: A new way to organize, curate and discover content in the open social web 💥

wait wait wait. the Republican ratfucking dad and son are named "Tommy and Timmy Teepell." are you fuggin kidding me with this shit

I saw Tim Berners-Lee's NeXT box when I visited CERN and what blows my mind is the faded torn sticker saying "This machine is a server DO NOT POWER IT DOWN". There was some point in time that was the only web server on Earth. "Do NOT turn this computer off the World Wide Web is on it"

@ronentk.me I have a new idea for a Semble feature: Howls. a Howl is basically a request for others to flock to a collection and contribute. if one person Howls at a collection it might show up on a friend's timeline and get added to. if many people start Howling at a collection, it's a signal that-

Them: So what have y'all been up to? Me: Haha, you know. The usual. The Usual:

It will never NOT piss me off that vanillas and SWERFS can say whatever the hell they like about sex work and spread misinformation, but actual people who DO the work are shadowbanned to shit and have the looming threat of our accounts being taken away if we correct them.

Is it just me, or does this platform feel pretty queer friendly so far? 🌈

my body is so ready for semblesidian you guys have no idea

next up semble and margin permission sets

Interesting signal: Tailscale's co-founder (apenwarr) confirmed Tailscale SSH should work with Headscale. If you're self-hosting Headscale as your coordination server, that means you can get Tailscale's SSH features without depending on their cloud at all. Full self-hosted mesh + SSH tunneling.

"We want to make Star Trek real," said Elon Musk. "We want to make Starfleet Academy real so that it's not always science fiction, but one day the science fiction turns to science fact."

Tons of subreddits on the front page right now are directing their users to Bluesky. Here are a few examples

This is what “everything ecosystem” means. Bluesky isn’t going to build a longform blogging service. What they can do with longform (and many other atproto apps) is use the shared formats of the atmosphere to enhance the experience and interaction with your content, wherever you like to post.
