finally posted thoughts about the atmosphere conf (along with an illustration and a bunch of tweaks to the blog) macwright.com/2026/04/05/in-the-atmosphere

For the sake of documentation, here's a thread of all the conversations I've been having about atmosphere websites 🧵

Pssssst! Are you making an atmosphere landing page and/or refactoring your sign up because of recent ✨discourse✨? I got what you need. *Opens trench coat to reveal convenient, flattened, normalized svg atmosphere logos in color and b&w* figma.com/community/file/16306851267590… tangled.org/cozylittle.house/atmologos/

The Atmosphere isn’t a product. It doesn’t have a single brand. It’s not even the protocol or the standard. I don’t think a single logo is necessarily helpful or even useful here. ActivityPub has a logo, and it mostly doesn’t get used.

Our community has gathered around the concept of Atmosphere. There’s work to do in explaining, culture building, and the concrete task of rallying around a brand / logo, especially around login.

Was thinking about posts made by @rude1.blacksky.team & @zeu.dev this weekend and been thinking about the Atmosphere needing a logo. While I don't pretend to speak for the entire community, wanted to throw my 2 cents that we should seriously consider adopting a "spherical" logo for the AtmoSPHERE.
