Rolling out today: ATProto across Bluesky, Blacksky, and any other PDS can apply domain blocklists to Bridgy Fed. Blocks come with if you Bounce, and we even added a handy list of reputable blocklists to choose from.

The dunking thing is a human curse though. If this place grows to be anywhere near as big as its predecessor, I'm convinced we will see that here too. The limited audience plus that's its largely attracting Twitter refugees is what holds that at bay for now.
A new paper examines blocking on Bluesky: "…blocking does not decrease the popularity and activity of the blocked users and has a limited effect on the social graph." There is a lot more nuance in here. h/t @index.internet.exchangepoint.tech.ap.brid.gy openaccess.city.ac.uk/id/eprint/36822/

openaccess.city.ac.ukStray product(s) idea. A class of atproto apps should be spa's (single page apps) installable directly to our pds @wisp.place style. Apps should be distributed, not hosted. I should be able to install the Bluesky app to bluesky.captaincalliope.at, and then install that to my phone and desktop.

Project ideas up for grabs
discourse.atmosphere.communitySomething interesting just happened that brings some questions I know @standard-reader.app respects Bluesky's blocks, and I've just seen it happening not allowing me to open an article from a person that I just found out is blocking me (from a mod list, not a big deal, I don't mind) But...
I'm posting again this way due to possible settings people might have: If you are interest in what's going on with Blacksky as far as Atproto goes but have been blocked by anyone in the thread, you might find this useful for reading purposes. skythread.mackuba.eu?author=rude1.blacksky.team&po…
