News folks! I'm psyched to share a new project to help indie journalists combine our power. It's called NewsNews (@nwsnws.com). The idea is to give readers an easy way to find a wide variety of high quality news and journalists a low-effort revenue stream. Journalists, sign up here to learn more:

semble.soThis is a disappointing and reductive take by @prospect.org It's a mistake to think of Substack only when thinking of independently published journalism and analysis.
The American Prospect
At their best, Substacks combine a probing brand of journalism with deep scholarly knowledge and a willingness to express a point of view at a time when many legacy newspapers have become timid and cautious.
@hipstersmoothie.com it'd be awesome if Standard Reader showed article sources more prominently. i know there's already a subtle link, but even a "published on pckt.blog" or similar would help. it would help give atproto publishing platforms more exposure and help attract new writers.
The articles that people are bookmarking on @semble.so are high quality. It's quickly becoming my go to place to consume dev content
