And transmitted via a US-based relay, supported by a US-based PLC? There's more to the stack than PDSs, you know. I asked around at yesterday's launch if/when they'd use European infra, but no-one understood the question. Eurosky launched a European relay & PLC mirror last week, fwiw.

W Social: Hello World!
It appears the w-social client has gone closed source. Any comment on this @janlindblad.bsky.social ? The article linked therein also poses another important question: Are all the components in W Social’s ATproto stack self-hosted in Europe? So, not just the PDS, but also the relay, AppView and moderation.

PDS Entryway | Bluesky
Bluesky runs many PDSs. Each PDS runs as a completely separate service in the network with its own identity. They federate with the rest of the network in the exact same manner that a non-Bluesky PDS does. These PDSs have hostnames such as morel.us-east.host.bsky.network.

Cooperative email infrastructure for PDS operators
LLC is filed (safety mechanism while scaling until we can actually make a co-op), I’m going to migrate my account to my own PDS (better late than never, right?) and then I’ll be able to do some more testing before sharing the code. I’ve also been building a really small little dashboard to help monitor the state of the shared smtp relay for when the time comes! Tryfamilia is an old throwaway domain of mine that I was using to test

A European path out of Big Tech lock-in: Eurosky + the "Everything Account" idea (AT Protocol)
If you care as much about privacy, decentralization, and independence from Big Tech than having a 100% EU-made software stack, Eurosky might be worth…
Longer version: Eurosky’s plc.eurosky.network is a small but real ATProto infrastructure move. It is not “a European Bluesky clone.” It is a read replica of the did:plc identity directory — the layer many accounts use to resolve keys, handles, and PDS hosts.

www.theverge.combluesky has always offered protocol services for devs— the relay, jetstream, and the bluesky api are the main ones. but until today those haven't really had a proper home. the crew as been working hard, and there's (even) more here than meets the eye, let's break this down!!
Bluesky Protocol Services
bsky.networktwo relays, three jetstreams, two plc mirrors, created lightrail (running one instance, several others deploying it), spacedust, constellation and slingshot in HA configs serving hundreds of apps, ufos, firehose compare, pds debugger, a bunch of demos, hubble-mini already mirroring every indie pds,
