Re: The Everything Account | Dominik Hofer
Making the benefits of the Atmosphere clear is mainly a UX problem.

Late night PDS MOOver beta release. Still testing, recommend using pdsmoover.com still for important accounts, but thought I'd share the new version of PDS MOOver to see what y'all think. Welcome to the New PDS MOOver (beta™️) oauth.pdsmoover.com
One thing I've been toying with, instead of talking about "PDS" and cryptic nonsense like that is: Atmosphere Service Provider, like an ISP but for the social internet. Part of the motivation is that "Sign in with Atmosphere" only works if people have seen that before.

Back at #AtmosphereConf @transrights.northsky.social demoed a very raw alpha of our private data solution Stratos. I'm happy to say that we are ready for a public Alpha! To level the playing field, it supports space *and* non-space PDS users so you can talk privately together clubhouse.atverkackt.de
Got a lot of great feedback and positive reactions to my new site, so I updated my "Use your #ATmosphere 🌀 data in your personal web sites" guide (inc. a repo link) so that others can try this too. wecanjustdothings.leaflet.pub/3m56tzfj5pc2a #WeCanJustDoThings with #ATproto 🪿

Could not be happier with how my new personal site has turned out. A nod to Bauhaus, build with web-safe colours and clean type. I'll spend next week tweaking content and layout, updating thumbnails, hunting for bugs, etc but in the meantime renderg.host v1 (boosted by #ATproto) is alive!!!
I think #ATmosphereConf folks should submit to this think.taylorandfrancis.com/special_issues/interrogating-…
Interrogating Trust & Safety
think.taylorandfrancis.comOne thing I hope to see after this is more than just the reference implementation of it. An Atmosphere Account ecosystem where PDS providers compete on UX, features, and extensions can be a whole new brand of competition in the open social web, and everyone should lean into it.

I'm convinced that there is a huge Atmosphere-sized hole in the personal website market, and here's why that matters👇
