Looking at all the tech burnout chat today and realizing that I think getting involved in ATProto has really saved my career. The future is bleak but having something hopeful about it in ATProto and the promise of the open web is keeping me going and excited.

I am very excited about AT Protocol
AT Protocol (atproto) is the right mix of useful, practical, personal, and fun. I think it could save the internet.

Welcome to the new atproto.com - AT Protocol
We've updated just about everything about atproto.com to make it easier for developers to just build things.

ATProto ideas
If AT Protocol becomes “a meaningful layer of the web” — even if it’s only tens of millions of users — then the winning ideas probably won’t only be futuristic...
Why I'm betting on ATProto (and why you should, too) — Brittany Ellich
Social media was supposed to connect us, but most of it has turned into ads, division, and loneliness. I'm betting on ATProto as a way to fix that, and not just for developers. Whether you're a scientist, journalist, or just someone who wants the internet to feel human again, I think ATProto matters for you too.

ATProto: Engine of Software 2.0
john.leaflet.pubImagine all the times you’ve downloaded a one-off app for a conference where you made all valuable connections with colleagues only to never use the app again. We could integrate the conference experience into your professional networks on the Atmosphere. ATproto can make networking so much better.

Garden and the Stream - thoughts
ezras-thoughts.leaflet.pubThe ATProto community built a ton of great features and products over the past year. For our next trick, let's mature them into products and businesses.

(2/n) A feature solves one problem well — even delightfully well. But features get copied easily or absorbed into larger products. They have no distribution or adoption model. If your whole thing can become a pane in someone else's app, it's a feature.
