this is really great, and i'm glad that you're thinking about it!! I just started building @atmobb.app and wanted to build a way for it to pull in topics from similar forums and landed on subscribing to a "topic" for those forums. very excited to see what happens!!

Building @skysquare.app, I’ve thought a lot about what the future of the @atproto.com ecosystem might look like, and I’m increasingly excited by the possibilities. Skysquare is a useful demonstration of something that feels much bigger than the application itself—the portability of the ATProto post.
Think it's looking a lot nicer :) Got comments going too, I used @leaflet.pub's lexicon seems to work well for general use case of threaded comments on the atmosphere, thanks friends! We might actually launch this thing yet! Now the hard part: AppViews!
At @cascadiajs.com this year I gave a talk about #atproto and the Atmosphere: the open social ecosystem Bluesky and many other apps are built on, and what it means to actually own your data. I made a bunch of silly drawings for it, and I'm sharing them in this 🧵!
In the *last day*, a bunch of apps in the Atmosphere are starting to adopt this proposal! Thanks to everyone who has helped out 🙏🏻 - @mu.social ☑ - @semble.so ☑ - @aturi.to ☑ - @leaflet.pub ☑ - @frontpage.fyi ☑ - @bsky.app ☐ - @pckt.blog ☐ (just reached out)

Trying to get all of the social-apps using the community proposal adding <meta> tags to the AT URIs they reference. github.com/bluesky-social/social-app/pul…
Very excited to share that I work here now! Starting today I'm one of the newest @bsky.app employees. I'm stoked to be exploring the Atmosphere full time! 😎
@toni.bsky.team @alexbenzer.com i think yall need to wrestle with the fact that the app’s most distinctive feature (“custom feeds”) is something only (relative) nerds use and benefit from. normal people won’t swipe between many algorithms or whatever. have a look at past designs for “communities”
This is very much still in the alpha stage but I'm getting very close to a working solution of @opensocial.community ! This is an #ATProto app that will allow managing community resources across multiple app views 😁 Thanks @tompscanlan.bsky.social for helping out on it 😍

Super cool! Imagining how something like this could be used for @atproto.science "journal" publishing
Standard Reader
New Feature: Collections on Standard Reader. Curate articles from across the network into magazine editions. Include your editorial intro, notes on each piece, a closing statement and a theme. Publish as a series readers can follow. Tell a story. Check out the first one 👇
Thinking about rebuilding @val.town / @smallweb.run on top of atproto, with an architecture inspired by @tangled.org. Every user can bring it's own runner, but the there is a federated appview for social stuffs (likes, follow, ect...).
I love atproto bc wdym I can post my @leaflet.pub posts to my @bsky.app and then those can show up immediately on my @blento.app AND people can read these posts from any other compatible atproto blogging site like @pckt.blog ???

First ever Leaflet?? And a homelab???
A little step: working on an AppView and small Lexicon to make contribution information modular and transparent - so it is easier to signal if you're looking for support, and how to provide it; will have the repo public soon, and hope to get the alpha public later this week - feedback welcome!
