AT Protocol (atproto) is the right mix of useful, practical, personal, and fun. I think it could save the internet.

matadisco.orgOh this is interesting. At first I thought it was yet another lexicon to wrap data on, but it's a way for anyone to use ATProto as a discovery mechanism for their non-PDS-hosted datasets. I hadn't thought of the ATmosphere and the relays as a way to surface arbitrary existing data until know.

Conversation here is very helpful framing for ATProto builders. The protocol has re-created the opportunity to restore the web as an open curation ecosystem that isn't controlled by any one platform, built not just on links between pages, but on the relationships between people, links and sources.
