Our next @blackskyweb.xyz People's Assembly will have you login with your atproto account to participate. On login we'll match your handle/email/DID to our subscribers, open source supporters and check for Blacksky membership (in feed or blacksky.app) Badge + profile will show next to statements.

atproto.comAny other atproto app devs run into this UX snafu? User already has a bsky account; uses it to login to your app. User was only logged in to bsky.app, not bsky.social and doesn’t have a password saved there. User is very confused why their browser doesn’t remember their bsky password.

Bluesky is a dominating presence in microblogging on ATproto, I just posted from both Mu and Blacksky and they’re both still using app.bsky.feed.post records. But what if there was a community driven standard for microblogging the same way we have one for long-form posting with @standard.site?
It would be great to get some transparency in here. @janlindblad.bsky.social: 1. will users be able to use the w social app with any #atproto account? 2. will users be able to verify themselves (to be able to post) with any atproto account or do you require users to move their accounts to your pds?
If I’m posting from the @mu.social app and reading on the @mu.social website and I’m hosted by @eurosky.social and my posts are bridged via @ap.brid.gy to the fediverse, do we still say I’m on Bluesky? And if not then what?
