Network Account Management | Bluesky
Accounts in the atproto network are app-neutral: a single account can be used for short posts, long-form blogging, events, and more. But until now, the best way for users to create and manage accounts has been through client apps themselves.

Universal profiles on the open social web
One of the discussions we had during the community day ahead of Eurosky was about this notion of interchangeable user profiles in the Atmosphere / Open Social Web. @laurenshof.online even recorded the entire conversation so maybe there’s a transcript I could clean up for us? Anyhow, here’s the gist of it. Deferred profile Right now on roomy.space if you sign up with your existing Bluesky account, we will defer to that Bluesky profile for your profile in Roomy as well, essentially recognizing t...

I'm excited to announce another guest post on the atproto.com blog! This time, we're featuring @spacecowboy17.bsky.social, the maintainer of the popular For You Feed (bsky.app/profile/spacecowboy17.bsky.so…)! atproto.com/blog/serving-the-for-you-feed
Serving the For You Feed - AT Protocol
atproto.com🚀 Excited to officially launch periwinkle.social to help folks truly own your social identity on @bsky.app and the growing universe of @atprotocol.dev applications. We manage your Personal Data Server and and handle the hard parts so you don't have to. #ATProtocol #PDS
Periwinkle - Get Started
periwinkle.socialAny other atproto app devs run into this UX snafu? User already has a bsky account; uses it to login to your app. User was only logged in to bsky.app, not bsky.social and doesn’t have a password saved there. User is very confused why their browser doesn’t remember their bsky password.
It's hard for non-technical people to understand that #atproto (Bluesky, and friends) really is a different breed of social software. One where our data, and connections are no longer taken hostage by the platform and we're free to store our data wherever we want
If I’m posting from the @mu.social app and reading on the @mu.social website and I’m hosted by @eurosky.social and my posts are bridged via @ap.brid.gy to the fediverse, do we still say I’m on Bluesky? And if not then what?
Bluesky is a dominating presence in microblogging on ATproto, I just posted from both Mu and Blacksky and they’re both still using app.bsky.feed.post records. But what if there was a community driven standard for microblogging the same way we have one for long-form posting with @standard.site?
I built a translator between Atproto's OAuth and OIDC, so apps like @tailscale.com can use your Bluesky identity. It includes a whitelist so you can invite people directly using their DID!
Decentralised Identity 🤝 Mesh Networking
thinking-with-portals.leaflet.pubIt would be great to get some transparency in here. @janlindblad.bsky.social: 1. will users be able to use the w social app with any #atproto account? 2. will users be able to verify themselves (to be able to post) with any atproto account or do you require users to move their accounts to your pds?
