Okay, so who’s (re)building email on atproto (spaces)? Sending people long-form. Baking-in “permission to send me email for a given purpose/until a particular criterion is met” (thing delivered, etc)”, adding support for embedded lexicons for richness, but not arbitrary HTML.

Clarifying: I feel like we just invented email addresses. And they’re tricky, I get it. But I’m pushing back on “wtf is the @ symbol even, nobody knows what ‘inbox’ or ‘smtp’ is, stop making it hard for normies” Instead of making atproto invisible, what if we made it worth the learning curve?

If your goal is to make atproto accessible to non-technical users I implore you to stop calling them “normies”
I’ve been talking to @jimray.bsky.team & @pfrazee.com about ways to spreads the word on atproto — this could definitely work as a format challenges themselves are fun (could base them in cities with active atproto communities) & we could probably make some extras to highlight builders in the space

atproto'd my website a bit further (beyond the @standard.site integration): 1) added a "Right now" box on the homage that pulls in all kinds of atproto activity like @bsky.app posts, @popfeed.social film ratings, @bookhive.buzz reads, @tangled.org repo's etc.
