in a community like ours, i think it’s tacky to say “stop using [Atmosphere app] and use [other Atmosphere app] instead” when i released @aturi.to i didn’t tell people to stop using @pds.ls or @atproto.at with @anisota.net, you won’t find me saying “ditch bluesky, mu, blacksky, etc”

Oooh. Just discovered the @atstore.fyi - a directory for all the apps of the Atmosphere. Wow! With user ratings and comments, etc. Note that if you are reading this on Bluesky, you *have* an Atmosphere acct already so can use these apps. atstore.fyi

As a community I think we've focus of "what is an atmosphere account?" too much and "what can I do with it?" too little To help with that I've built ATStore, our App Store: - Browse all the Atmosphere Apps - Explore each App's ecosystem - Leave reviews and feedback - Star your favorites

atstore.fyiI think it’s time to elevate the Atmosphere branding as ‘your everything-account for the Internet’. Bluesky is not “the last social identity you’ll ever have to create”, your Atmosphere identity is. Bluesky = one of many Google apps Atmosphere = your Google account

my initial though is that if we expand the PDS account manager and have most major account actions take place there, it could help. eg, similar to how youtube would probably direct you to google accounts for full account deletion, and then it is clear that impact goes beyond youtube
My favorite app on the Atmosphere is @semble.so but it doesn't work exactly like I want all the time so I made a client that does less on purpose. Check it out: sembleit.dev disnetdev.com/blog/2026-04-10-sembleit-semb…

www.disnetdev.comthis is my preferred pattern for atmosphere apps that are wanting to ”reuse” or “integrate” the bluesky social graph/lexicon don’t make me automatically follow everyone i follow on bluesky, but make it easy to find/discover/import my bluesky social graph (or other social graphs) on my own terms

yeah i really like this, though it would be nice to be able to quickly “discover” users you follow on bluesky who also are active on grain and quickly follow them @chadtmiller.com
Did you know we have a new package that helps @atproto.com developers quickly add Atmosphere Waypoints to their apps? Let your users jump around the Atmosphere *their* way: "Open in @mu.social..." "Reply on @anisota.net..." "Inspect on @pds.ls..." Here it is on @npmx.dev: npmx.dev/package/@aturi.to/waypoints

atstore.fyi“In the atproto community, apps built on the protocol are called ‘Atmospheric.’ So: my website is now Atmospheric, and this post is about what that actually means.” @disnetdev.com said the thing! disnetdev.com/blog/an-atmospheric-website
