did it. direct-from-object-storage backup restore for rocksdb. this should make it *much* less painful (and way faster) to launch a new constellation instance from the public backups.

VM save and restore/live migration support · Issue #41 · magma-gpu/rutabaga_gfx
This was requested in #24 (comment). I doubt it is practical, but I am making this issue so that there can be a record of the desire, even if the issue is immediately closed as “won’t fix”.
Getting a Gemini API key is an exercise in frustration | Hacker News
1. You can access those models via three APIs: the Gemini API (which it turns out is only for prototyping and returned errors 30% of the time), the Vertex API (much more stable but lacking in some functionality), and the TTS API (which performed very poorly despite offering the same models). They also have separate keys (at least, Gemini vs Vertex).
candystore - Rust
A fast (blazingly, of course), persistent, in-process key-value store that relies on a novel sharding algorithm. Since Candy does not rely on log-structured merge (LSM) trees or B-Trees, no journal/WAL is needed and IOs go directly to file.
Low Cost, High Performance S3 Compatible Object Storage
Backblaze B2 provides unlimited data storage in the cloud at 1/5th the cost of Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

For instance, we are now loading from SSD at about 14-16GB/s *in a composable manner*.That means about 1.1s to load an 8B BF16 model. https://t.co/i0c7xu8HhP— Steeve Morin (@steeve) November 1, 2025

tangled.orgI was looking at an older version of the software I'm yet again working on from what, 15 years ago, and I can't believe we're still mostly stuck with the same private blob storage options that can serve as user-data storage. S3-compatible storage + Dropbox was the list: github.com/icidasset/ongaku-ryoho-v1?tab…
haven't felt this energized in a while 🔋 We're building a proof-of-concept E2EE library & demo on AT Protocol, using BeeKEM for DCGKA. There's a long road between a PoC and a foundation we can all depend on, but every journey has a first step🐾 bsky.app/profile/boscolo.co/post/3m52h… bsky.app/profile/expede.wtf/post/3mraq…

With #AT-SMS we are committed to building group messaging support on top of the most promising decentralized continuous group key agreement (DCGKA). No candidates yet, tho. I think a few more implementations are needed to make the IETF discussions fruitful. bsky.app/profile/boscolo.co/post/3lwuh…
