I think bsky should be funding more PLC related community projects. It should be possible to spin up a PLC mirror and download all of it at line rate. Right now, the /export endpoint is usable, but unnecessarily slow. Archived bulk op exports stored in object storage would help but aren’t cheap.

Setting up Bossett's BlueSky Feed Generator
I have build a small framework for Bluesky feeds that allows a developer to quickly spin up new feeds by cloning a single source file and making very minor tweaks. It allows for arbitrary code to be run to create filters, manipulate lists, etc.; and has a number of helper

I'll go against the discourse. 280 contributors to repo.npmx.dev in 100 days. We only used bluesky for social comms. We asked while welcoming folks, and most of them got involved after reading our bsky posts. Thanks for building and running bluesky. This network is a great place to do open source 💙

Wild to see that @npmx.dev was the fastest-growing emerging open source organization by number of contributors in Q1 2026 according to osscar.dev. What is even more interesting: it was the only non-AI tool in the top 10.
bluesky has always offered protocol services for devs— the relay, jetstream, and the bluesky api are the main ones. but until today those haven't really had a proper home. the crew as been working hard, and there's (even) more here than meets the eye, let's break this down!!

bsky.networkover time as business models and extraction points move up and down the stack. i think em's answer might be the most realistic one in 2026-- the entirety the ATP userbase mandatorily moderated by (or acc to the standards of) bsky that thinks of it all as "bsky apps" is on the bsky platform, i think.
hello! yeah! quite a lot of PLC progress (and some left to go). (warning: long thread) 1. there is an official reference read-replica implementation: github.com/did-method-plc/go-didplc/tree… the official read-replica is better than the Allegedly reference-server-wrapper that i made, in two important ways:

hello, has there been progress on this since the writeup? thank you for your work, i'm not grasping the full extent of it but i'm really interested in decentralization of the atmosphere
