Thinking about the different tumblr post types and especially about how fun it was to decide how your theme should handle each post type. Could be a fun atproto/blog extension. Could also be fun to have an llm agent with tools to build out post types and display on-demand.

Automattic + Tumblr
Those of you who’ve followed my Tumblr over the years have probably come to expect a mix of travel photos and the occasional link to my WordPress blog. Well, today is different. I’m delighted to share that Automattic is acquiring Tumblr.
Tumblr
Tumblr. Pure effervescent enrichment. Old internet energy. Home of the Reblogs. All the art you never knew you needed. All the fandoms you could wish for. Enough memes to knock out a moderately-sized mammal. Add to it or simply scroll through and soak it up.

One thing I look for in a blogging platform (whether atproto or otherwise): a way of backing up/exporting my content. This is more important to me than being able to tweak design/fonts etc. Have learned this from hard experience; I've used manymany blogging platforms over the decades.
Some more ideas about how I think to build an atproto app for artists from the needs I see in my community, and how I envision to grow this into a longer term project. I am curious about your feedback and who is interested to participate.

hilkeu.leaflet.pubmeet the brand new read.pckt.blog ⭐️ the Atmosphere has a front page for blogging now !! a post of the day. things to read by subject. writers worth following. blogs on the rise. recommendations from people you follow. and a top 100 trending blogs chart 👀 basically, come see what’s good 💞
Why and how I'm embracing open social blogging (and less traditional social media). I've been working on this post for ages, rewriting etc because things keep changing/improving! Have decided to just post it as is. 😁 #Atmosphere
