i guess in a way this is the most widely used one, but also one that is severely underused in other ways. definitely identity. i've long been of the opinion that there are obviously cool things that come from public data and all the public pieces of the proto, but identity is higher impact.

blog.annot.athere's my take on a minimal oauth browser client for atproto! no special API client class — just use plain `fetch` to make requests and a service worker automatically handles authorization headers/token refreshes/dpop retries/etc. (very experimental, not tested in production, use at your own risk)

Claude is inheriting a centralized app-centric bias here (which existing OAuth profiles may share) To wind up in a decentralized world where all "my data" lives on "my PDS" -- regardless of how many atproto apps I authorize to store stuff there for me (see 🧵) -- we should invert that paradigm
