Bulleted is officially live: bulleted.app At the surface, it's pretty simple: It's an outliner. Every bullet is a record in a repository you own. The launch post covers what it does, so this thread is the part I left out: why I built it and what's underneath.

bulleted.appMy take on the "explaining atproto" discourse is that all the UX/filesystem/etc metaphors are still very verbose and that you can explain the same idea in a lot less words: It separates data from apps, so any app can use data from any other app. That fits in a tweet, with other sentences around it.
atproto offers an fascinating example of what it means to restructure this relationship. End-users get to choose who and how much trust they delegate to software producers, the delegation of trust becomes tangible and revokable.

Networked computing, in a fundamental way, changed the producer-consumer relationship we have with corporations. In the material world that relationship ends with the transfer of material and money; I buy a pencil and some paper, and the producer is out of the picture while I use them to write.
