Every time you view or like a post or take most actions on Bluesky or Blacksky your requests go through your Personal Data Server (PDS). It’s also the home of all your data. To date, we’ve used other people’s software to run Blacksky’s fleet of PDS. In the next week we’ll be migrating to our own.

Weekly PDS users chart, unstacked edition: @transrights.northsky.social is growing, crossed 1k active users and catching up to @wsocial.eu; @eurosky.social approaching 9k active users
On the weekly posting users per origin chart on my stats page, there's now a checkbox "Show as % of total". And we've quietly passed a pretty important milestone last month: 1% of all users on the network (making app.bsky posts) were on independent PDSes! Around 0.5% of weekly active users are on independent PDSes right now, 1.5% if you count @ap.brid.gy - honestly more than I expected 🙂 (blue.mackuba.eu/stats/)
