Standard Reader now ships an open AppView for standard.site. Public ATProto queries over the indexed network — publications, articles, feeds, URL resolution. Same lexicons the app uses. Docs + live examples: standard-reader.app/docs/api

I made a reader for standard.site called "Standard Reader" Partially inspired by Google Reader (or what i remember of it) it provides a place to browse, discover, read and subscribe to standard site publications Also has some cool features like article dictation (I like to listen to longform)

@toni.bsky.team @alexbenzer.com i think yall need to wrestle with the fact that the app’s most distinctive feature (“custom feeds”) is something only (relative) nerds use and benefit from. normal people won’t swipe between many algorithms or whatever. have a look at past designs for “communities”

Lexicon suggestions for reader apps on AT Proto (such as @leaflet.pub Reader and @skyreader.app): - storing the reading status of a given URL - “liking” or “recommending” an URL - public (and when permissioned data will be out, private, or access controlled) folders to organize subscriptions
