The lie here is suggesting that "9% of @bsky.app users are active daily" is the same measurement as "9% of @wsocial.eu users have ever posted more than once". #Wsocial 's actual DAU is less than 1%. This is how propaganda works. Tell little lies often enough and eventually it sounds like truth.

On the weekly posting users per origin chart on my stats page, there's now a checkbox "Show as % of total". And we've quietly passed a pretty important milestone last month: 1% of all users on the network (making app.bsky posts) were on independent PDSes! How is this possible? #WSocial hosts 26k accounts but only 5.4k have provided ID verification (and thus can post). Of those, only 2450 people (as of this AM) have EVER published a SINGLE post or reply. By comparison, on Eurosky (26k accounts) EVERYONE can post. No ID required #WSocialPics
Really important to notice the sleight of hand here. Nobody reported that @wsocial.eu *leaked* the data (except for W Social saying in their denials that others reported this). We all agree this over-publication was done on purpose, by design, in a way that is not totally clear to everyday users.
