







please this. any community-driven application like this is a good candidate for cutting out the monthly subscription middle man holding the data hostage. open map data in general is needed. I've trying to replace google/apple maps with open alts.

Time to put your posts on the map using ATProto. Excited to announce that my web app @beaconbits.app is opening up for beta this week. Beacon Bits lets you drop public beacons on a map that can be filtered by friends, global view, or location radius.
What would premium or subscription based Feeds look like for AT Protocol? github.com/bluesky-social/atproto/pull/4… That's something I think would be interesting to explore. Maybe a feed could do freemium too, like it'll give you x% of content for free, but by paying it becomes more frequently updated?
@toni.bsky.team @alexbenzer.com i think yall need to wrestle with the fact that the app’s most distinctive feature (“custom feeds”) is something only (relative) nerds use and benefit from. normal people won’t swipe between many algorithms or whatever. have a look at past designs for “communities”
