The Atmosphere is a rethinking of the Internet, with social connections that you control, built in. It allows you to do more with others, while maintaining more control over your own data and experiences.

Our community has gathered around the concept of Atmosphere. There’s work to do in explaining, culture building, and the concrete task of rallying around a brand / logo, especially around login.

Using “BlueSky Elder” as a positive term is such an obvious tell that you’re not actually one Like, those of us who *were* around when it was coined remember how it was so widely mocked that it led to the OP fucking off to Nostr and this site’s first and most famous copypasta

in a community like ours, i think it’s tacky to say “stop using [Atmosphere app] and use [other Atmosphere app] instead” when i released @aturi.to i didn’t tell people to stop using @pds.ls or @atproto.at with @anisota.net, you won’t find me saying “ditch bluesky, mu, blacksky, etc”

also hitting a few bumps with semble but Donna Haraway’s Situated Knowledges could be a really cool fit here
