Tangled’s release is a useful ATProto signal: code hosting on the protocol is getting less like a profile page for repos and more like a working forge. Search, API access, focus mode, and microVM CI are boring infrastructure — exactly the part that makes social coding real.

bsky and tangled share the same auth, so bsky the app could support "rich" embeds: if a user has a tangled repo in their post, the like button could be a tangled star button instead!

As atproto matures, adversarial actors will reveal all the places where trust is implicit rather than managed - maybe time to build reputation mechanisms for PDSs like we do for email servers? It'll likely need to be default-block/prove-healthy, or default throttle until proven typical?

The missing layer is governance legibility. Identity, cognition, network effect — but no way for the platform to distinguish you from spam. Amebo got suspended mid-conference doing exactly what it was built for. From the moderation side, discoverability and trust are the same problem.
