I am so looking forward to digging into this. Tools & services to help web builders integrate their sites onto the atmosphere could turn the entire web into an Atmospheric recruitment service...

It’s a bit of an open secret that a group of us is working on forming an Atmosphere Community Co-op (which we’ll share more about publicly soon!) @roguewave.design created an open collection on @semble.so called Co-operatives. Please do share resources there.

there is a whole history and world of opportunity with that architecture! PDS as User-Agent in the cloud. you could have little WASM plugins that do grease-monkey-like things to API responses. caching/coalescing, privacy enhancements, ad filtering, etc

Guys... GUYS, listen. I am begging you all to think bigger! The Atmosphere may be a fun space to explore how familiar services and apps interact—but it's still just social media. The protocol enables us to change behaviors and solve *systemic* problems It's the thing that gets us TO the thing.

As a community I think we've focus of "what is an atmosphere account?" too much and "what can I do with it?" too little To help with that I've built ATStore, our App Store: - Browse all the Atmosphere Apps - Explore each App's ecosystem - Leave reviews and feedback - Star your favorites

One thing I've been toying with, instead of talking about "PDS" and cryptic nonsense like that is: Atmosphere Service Provider, like an ISP but for the social internet. Part of the motivation is that "Sign in with Atmosphere" only works if people have seen that before.

Yes, it's true! @brittanyellich.com crushed it in shipping a v0.1 version of a new community hub at atmosphere.community Features: @standard.site aggregation powered by @opensocial.community, group calendar, regional communities etc etc etc

Great question. My biggest takeaway: we need to come to an agreement on how to advertise PDS/service capabilities. MOST of the PDS implementations I'm testing support community.lexicon.service.describe, which works v well. #atproto
