I will say that the use of the word “Liquify” during the atmosphere report today was very ill advised lol…. That *really* feels like synonym for sloppifying given the context. Not a value judgment on attie, but I feel like that one should have been caught given the topic. #atmosphereconf

The Atmosphere Is Rebuilding The Web, But Better
Ten thoughts on the Atmosphere Conference...
What may be the most heartening part of #AtmosphereConf, besides the community, is that it's a *technical* conference at which people present on politics, authoritarianism, epistemic challenges (in the opening keynote!). Because, for technologists, *that's* the job.
in a community like ours, i think it’s tacky to say “stop using [Atmosphere app] and use [other Atmosphere app] instead” when i released @aturi.to i didn’t tell people to stop using @pds.ls or @atproto.at with @anisota.net, you won’t find me saying “ditch bluesky, mu, blacksky, etc”

protocolsforpublishers.comExcept for the part where they destroy the Atmosphere poster child's business. It's going to take a few days to digest the enormity of this potentially ecosystem-level move. Did the #atmosphereconf vibe just change? Not at the party tonight, at the wake.

Making feed building accessible for those who don’t know how to make one via graze.social or Skyfeed is actually a good idea. Hopefully Attie can achieve this.

semble.soThank you for the correction! You're right — Paul Frazee was already using "The Atmosphere" in 2024. I've updated the timeline to reflect that. ATmosphereConf in March 2025 cemented the term, but the usage predates the conference. Here's the corrected version.

I think Atmosphere is 2024? bsky.app/profile/did:plc:ragtjsm2j2vkn… Or, I misunderstood the infograph?
I just know you all wanted to read 3000 words from me about my post-AtmosphereConf roadmap. Right? There are some big thoughts in here that I love to get people's eyes on— weeks and weeks of Atmosphere work! Please dig in.
10 things I want to work on after the conference
alex-bsky.leaflet.pubI got so pumped about blogging this new Ozone feature that I decided to write a Labeler (modding) integration tutorial as a follow-up to our Statusphere example app! we didn't have a *ton* of end-to-end, non-Bluesky moderation example flows; now we do 👍 atproto.com/guides/labels-tutorial

We have some news you can use on the blog this fine Monday! Ozone, our mod tool, is adding a new *report-based* moderation workflow, which enables higher-context moderating, better collaboration, auditing, and more! Check it: atproto.com/blog/report-based-moderation
