Atproto spaces alpha updates
Okay as promised, we just cut another spaces alpha releast today! This includes the credential & sync changes that I listed above plus a small API field rename in listSpaces and simplespace.createSpace. There are several breaking changes, and I expect this to be a more disruptive rollout than the last one. The rollout will update the hosted psaces alpha PDS, the Docker image at ghcr.io/bluesky-social/atproto:pds-spaces-alpha and the relevant npm packages. For folks running their own PDS, this r...

Atproto spaces alpha updates
Hey folks, we just launched the atproto spaces alpha. Check out the blog post for more details! Over the following weeks, we’ll be iterating on the specification and the implementation. In all likelihood, this will involve breaking changes to the PDS distribution, the Bluesky-hosted alpha PDS, and the alpha SDKs. To minimize disruption, we’ll plan to do releases on Thursdays (barring something critical that requires more immediate attention). When we do a release, We’ll make a post to this thr...

The Atproto Spaces Alpha is Live - AT Protocol

Embracing ATProto, part 2: Tangled Knots and social coding
You thought Github was a social coding platform? Think again, and get ready to tangle! Built on atproto, tangled allows you to use your Bluesky/atproto identity on a (not quite yet) fully feldged git platform!

🚀 Excited to officially launch periwinkle.social to help folks truly own your social identity on @bsky.app and the growing universe of @atprotocol.dev applications. We manage your Personal Data Server and and handle the hard parts so you don't have to. #ATProtocol #PDS
Periwinkle - Get Started
periwinkle.socialI love that the design of atproto was in part inspired by big social Kafka and ScyllaDB server backends and @martin.kleppmann.com's Designing Data-Intensive Applications and the community immediately used it to implement thousands of apps with no backend lol

github.comThinking about rebuilding @val.town / @smallweb.run on top of atproto, with an architecture inspired by @tangled.org. Every user can bring it's own runner, but the there is a federated appview for social stuffs (likes, follow, ect...).
