Our community has gathered around the concept of Atmosphere. There’s work to do in explaining, culture building, and the concrete task of rallying around a brand / logo, especially around login.

Some thoughts on a taxonomy of ATmospheric apps. I see an ecosystem developing with three categories: - Symbionts, tightly coupled with Bsky; - Offshoots, growing large, parallel communities; and - Cuckoos, which scan as skeuomorphic clones on ATproto but go beyond. numergent.com/2026-04/A-taxonomy-of-ATmosph…

"we're building rainforests, not skyscrapers" diverse ecosystems with lots of different life forms and symbiotic relationships and growth! @schlage.town got me feeling hopeful, talking about building an Atmospheric (sub) stack

the Atmosphere needs a LOT of care to be a functioning space for us all to have nice things. there are many people here with experience in tradbiz, both sides of grant and philanthropic funding there was even an expert in co-op structures at #atmosphereconf! ask for help! offer to help! dms open!

pretty interesting project by @s0hw.bsky.social and @andresmh.com building an ontology of community guideline decision points. I think this will be very relevant to high-context moderation within atmospheric groups
