working on this today 😎. we chose veryyyyy different formats for storing information semble & margin make sense the direction they've chosen. you can organize links into multiple buckets, where on linkring there is a single link<>list relationship. should show up at the very least soon tho!

Vision and Reality of Hypertext and GUIs: 2.1.13 Microcosm @mprove
Microcosm (cf. 2.1.13) is a research project at the University of Southampton. Like Intermedia five years before, Microcosm is designed around the idea that material of diverse sources and formats should be tied together into one hypertext. To achieve this goal links have to be separated from the documents. They are stored and maintained in special link databases. In contrast to Intermedia, Microcosm plays the active role in gathering the necessary data out of the documents. For each topic it stores data on which documents contain information about it and also where inside the documents the information is located. This elaborated conception of links can be seen more as a kind of Memex’ trails than simple one-to-one links. Given this structure dynamic linking becomes possible. This means that links can be associated with generic text strings. Wherever this string shows up a link is placed automatically. This has the effect that documents that are imported for the first time into Microcosm can have links immediately.

Two billion citation links in Crossref help research travel further - Crossref
We’ve recently reached an important milestone for the research nexus: the works in our metadata corpus are now connected with over 2 billion citation links! This is a great opportunity to share a dedicated dataset and discuss why these are important for science.

Linked Data - Design Issues
The Semantic Web isn't just about putting data on the web. It is about making links, so that a person or machine can explore the web of data. With linked data, when you have some of it, you can find other, related, data.
What is the Semble Page

Saw this and immediately built it. Open-sourced the whole thing:Ingest URLs, PDFs, tweets, images → LLM compiles a linked markdown wiki → Q&A with citations, knowledge graph, contradiction linting, auto-research, export to HTML/PDF/slides.Been using it nonstop as a personal… https://t.co/ypaXlEA7pn pic.twitter.com/8Z2DLAyQjH— Jared Goering (@jaredgoering) April 4, 2026
oh yeah. this is working. with @airglow.run I now have my likes with links auto bookmarked on @semble.so , and then @treethought.xyz 's beta Atmosphere Obsidian plugin pulls them into an easily accessible list - I no longer need to paste links into one dump file. Excellent.
Airglow
Airglow can now loop over array data inside any record. Concrete example: like a Bluesky post → bookmark every link in it on Margin, Semble, kipclip, etc. Three reusable automations live now: airglow.run/automations?q=app.bsky.feed.l…
I have been enjoying using @semble.so for storing links. I wrote up some ideas on how I'd like to use it for link blogging bmannconsulting.com/notes/using-semble-for-link-b…
i made linkring.lol. it's a place to put your links in lists, because they sure weren't going to organize themselves in my 47 open tabs. on the atmosphere, with stickers.
