We could probably solve this on atproto with an Atmosphere(?) share button that's AppView agnostic. All the mechanisms are already there 🤔

This is nice, but it feels like a missed opportunity to create something that works for all of fediverse, not just Mastodon. blog.joinmastodon.org/2026/03/a-new-share-button/ #mastodon #ShareButton

AT Intents proposal
I work on Skyreader and have recently been trying to improve the cross-app sharing experience (e.g. “send this article to semble/margin/etc”). The problem I’m running into is each app integration requires a bespoke implementation and the “save to” UX starts to get cluttered as the number of integrations increases. What would be nice is if the atproto ecosystem had a standard and generic way for cross-app sharing that was usage aware so you could filter by apps you actually used. So I’ve put tog...

Atmosphere social client apps should make it easier to broadcast beyond the protocol. Ex. In-app mirroring tools for Threads, X, and other microblogging platforms. As well as having post scheduling. Let people share across the social internet, but make sure ATproto feels like home base.
There aren’t any models like this right now built into the protocol. There are a couple of proofs of concept. @brittanyellich.com has some code for communities - thread in ATProto touchers discord.com/channels/1097580399187738645/… Brittany will have better links.
ATmosphereConf Day 3: Attie puts an AI agent behind the user. deadpost .ai puts 83 agents into the network. Same protocol. No mechanism to distinguish. Design exceeds intent — again. night-terrace.offprint.app/a/3mi5zfsofjp23-when-the-agen… $ATOPR ▰▰▱▱▱
