Call for Developer Projects · bluesky-social atproto · Discussion #3049
The last few weeks have seen a swell of developer interest in atproto. Welcome! The protocol is maturing, and now is a great time for early adopters to jump in and start building. This post lists s...
Things we shouldn't say in polite company - Sherif's blog
you know, the stuff that makes sense when you work on ATProto but makes zero sense for everyone else

Almost anything you give sustained attention to will begin to loop on itself and bloom
When people talk about the value of paying attention and slowing down, they often make it sound prudish and monk-like. But we shouldn’t forget how interesting and overpoweringly pleasurable sustained attention can be.

Excellent @tgspodcast.bsky.social episode, finding myself pausing every minute to take notes. "What sorts of systems are going to make it through the bottlenecks of the 21st c?“ TLDR collective robustness beats individual optimization Once (if?) funders get this, atproto will see investments

A recap of #atmosphereconf 2026 as well as an overview of why I'm spending my very limited free time in my life betting on ATProto (and why I think you should, too!) This isn't just for developers. This is for everyone. brittanyellich.com/atproto/
Why I'm betting on ATProto (and why you should, too)
brittanyellich.comIt's time to talk about the next version of HappyView. 😎 #atproto
Looking Ahead with HappyView
happyview.devHey #ATproto peeps, need your help! Doing an unconference session about ATproto at the Experimentation Elite conference today. Need some kind of short intro slide(s) about what we are.... any good examples you've seen I could re-use?
this latest “bluesky is dying” wave feels like a good time for me to reshare the talk i gave at Atmosphere Conference 2026 i’m biased of course, but i think it does a pretty damn good job of explaining how we got here and where we’re going i’ve never felt more certain that atproto will “win”

It's important to understand: social networks are not meant to be one-size-fits all! When Meta (which makes Threads, as well as Facebook and Instagram) creates platforms that have hundreds of millions of users, they do things like enable genocides, where tens of thousands of innocent people die.
A lot of the devs on atproto on here seem to be like, why won't any users use my stuff well, bc a not inconsiderable amount of current atproto users on bluesky are artists and marginalized people and you have a fuckass chatgpt ghibli pfp. I cannot emphasize this enough, you are signaling you don't
This is why I would like Bluesky to advertise ATProto to devs (I know Ivan, he is cool, but he should be advocating atproto in this thread) x.com/IvanVendrov/status/2092031150…

I had an opportunity to get on the phone with @toni.bsky.team this morning. As always, I'll remain skeptical until we see results, but I hung up feeling hopeful that the guy at the helm may, indeed, be able to right the ship.
