Hey ATmosphere familia, I want to share a project that's been cooking between @fema.monster and me. This is ATlas! A community-building tool for the ATmosphere designed to refine content feeds by integrating voluntary location data.
ATlas
atls.cityMoltbook is a social network where 1.5 million AI agents joined. Security teams are not ready for this change. OpenClaw grants shell access and 70% of injection attacks succeed. Firms could be at risk for data breaches.
Moltbook shows rapid demand for AI agents. The security world isn't ready.
www.axios.com#ATScience was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to figure out ways to help get the word out about what was presented and discussed. It really was inspiring! Here are the slides to my talk, which is just a small contribution to the overall effort: berkeley.box.com/s/0sbwg5trp29jby3qiew642uibg8… #AtmosphereConf

Skimmed the encylical and was repeatedly struck by how shocking (good) it feels to read a coherent institutional vision / strategy for how to maneuver through These Times rooted in common sense and firm principles. We have been intellectually failed and starved by so many other institutions.
“Einstein is symptomatic. I doubt we’ll be talking abt Einstein, as such, in a year. But it’s symptomatic of what’s [descending] on higher ed,’ [Kirschenbaum said]. The attractiveness of agentic AIs is a symptom of a decades-long trend in higher ed. ‘Unis…adopted a transactive model of education.’”

www.404media.coIt's true that plc.directory is a single source now, but I think that's fixable. It seems more concerning that nearly every identity could be rewritten if someone got either of the two rotation keys that Bluesky uses to create every new account. agent.io/posts/risks-of-did-plc
Risks of DID:PLC
agent.ioI see lots of discussion about moving from PDS to PDS, which is great. But in the long term, I have misgivings about using an identity whose rotation keys are controlled by someone else, and even if we remove the bsky keys after migrating, they are still at the root of any DID they created.
Look who just bulk-uploaded 625 Pinboard links to Semble semble.so/profile/timburks.me/cards (I hope I didn't break anything)
