@thisismissem.social @divy.zone and I recently went through an exploration of how the browser can help you login to websites with atproto accounts. We recently presented to the FedID CG and here is a sneak peek in case you couldn't join! This is early but we'd love your input before we go too far!

its actually really cool that instead of having my own account system i can now just integrate atproto oauth into whatever project i'm making and instantly have everything i need in terms of user identity

for the past hour or so I’ve been playing with skycoll - my quick, vibe coded atproto equivalent of twecoll (an old thing I saw for twitter a few days ago on gh) can see the source code github.com/j4ckxyz/skycoll and can install with PyPI! has atproto OAuth, but I’ve only been using it with an alt for safety atm!

Any other atproto app devs run into this UX snafu? User already has a bsky account; uses it to login to your app. User was only logged in to bsky.app, not bsky.social and doesn’t have a password saved there. User is very confused why their browser doesn’t remember their bsky password.
