SciPy 1.0: fundamental algorithms for scientific computing in Python
SciPy is an open-source scientific computing library for the Python programming language. Since its initial release in 2001, SciPy has become a de facto standard for leveraging scientific algorithms in Python, with over 600 unique code contributors, thousands of dependent packages, over 100,000 dependent repositories and millions of downloads per year. In this work, we provide an overview of the capabilities and development practices of SciPy 1.0 and highlight some recent technical developments.

PANDA is an open-source Platform for Architecture-Neutral Dynamic Analysis. It is built upon the QEMU whole system emulator, and so analyses have access to all code executing in the guest and all data. PANDA adds the ability to record and replay executions, enabling iterative, deep, whole system analyses. PANDA can be controlled from the command line, through our Python package, or even a Jupyter notebook.

This is either brilliant or scary:Anthropic accidentally leaked the TS source code of Claude Code (which is closed source). Repos sharing the source are taken down with DMCA.BUT this repo rewrote the code using Python, and so it violates no copyright & cannot be taken down! pic.twitter.com/uSrCDgGCAZ— Gergely Orosz (@GergelyOrosz) March 31, 2026

We have a new project! Didactic is a typed data library for python built on top of panproto. It provides class-based authoring like pydantic. But under the hood each Model is a panproto Theory, which gives you access to panproto's migration and codegen capabilities. Docs at panproto.dev/didactic/.
