DJs
I am a Seattle native, raised by some pretty hip parents who had me listening to everything from Dead Can Dance to Queen Latifah. I’ve been furiously putting together playlists and mixtapes since I was old enough to open cassettes and record songs off the radio. My journey with KEXP started in 2006, as a DJ assistant to Michele Myers on Friday nights, and I continued working off and on with her, and in events, on pledge drives and more for the next seven years. In 2014, I stepped behind the mic for my first show on air as a DJ and fell right in love with live radio and music curation, and the connection with listeners across the world. These days I am your Drive Time host, every Tuesday-Friday, from 4-7 PM Pacific time. Expect to hear some of my all-time favorites in the mix, from Daft Punk to Japanese Breakfast, and Dan the Automator’s many projects. And tons of new music, too! Every time I’m on air I make it a point to dig deep for music I’ve never heard or played, to make sure I’m always finding and sharing something new. KEXP is such a special part of our global music community – I’m honored to have the opportunity to go on air and curate your soundtrack. I also love getting to know KEXP listeners, so feel free to reach out with requests or hello’s via @djeviestokes on Instagram. Have a music submission? Please send it to evie@kexp.org.

DJs
Morgan has lived in Seattle since Y2K. She is thankful the Y2K bug wasn’t a thing because she really likes Seattle. She is originally from Rockford, Illinois - yes, home of Cheap Trick! Thank you for knowing that. She does, in fact, play Cheap Trick on her show from time to time which is on Saturdays 12-3pm PT. Morgan has been working in radio since attending the University of Washington, as a DJ and General Manager of Rainy Dawg Radio. After graduating in 2008, she started volunteering at KEXP and was hired as a DJ in 2012. She’s been working with John in the Morning during the KEXP Fundraising Drives laughing their asses off together for many many years. She started working full time at KEXP in 2016 as DJ Manager, then Associate Programming Director, and most recently became Programming Group Director in 2022. She is so psyched to have been supporting the KEXP Programming department for the last 15 years. Morgan has been an active member of the music community over the years, working at various Seattle institutions like The Vera Project, Easy Street Records, Light In The Attic Records, and sitting on the Board of Directors of Rain City Rock Camp. In her spare time she has one million hobbies including baking, gardening, crafting, bowling, Twin Peaks fandom, and of course listening to music. Feel free to follow along with her hobbies on Instagram @djmorganseattle. morgan@kexp.org

In den Niederlanden drängen rechte KI-Songs auf virale Spotify-Playlists. Doch hinter dem Fall steckt ein viel größeres Problem.
