Manton Reece - Introducing the Micro.blog PDS
I’ve started rolling out an AT Protocol PDS — personal data server — for new Micro.blog users. In the Bluesky world, a PDS is what stores your posts, follows, photos, and other data from apps. In the same way that creating an account on Micro.blog automatically gives you a fediverse handle, I wanted people to be able to create a Micro.blog account and have everything they needed to sign into Bluesky.

Making good progress on hosting an AT Proto PDS for new micro.blog users. It’ll launch soon. Important note: it is not for people who already use Bluesky, at least not yet. The goal is to give new users an account on the atmosphere. Existing users will be happier sticking with the Bluesky PDS.
It's really cool that people are now using Bluesky not only from servers they host themselves, but servers they *wrote* themselves (or someone else here did), adding features the standard one doesn't have ❤️ Like, I now have 2FA again on my PDS because @baileytownsend.dev just went and built it

Cirrus PDS now support passkey auth. It was a bit of a puzzle adding it to a tool where where the admin is all CLI, but I'm really pleased with the flow I came up with. Give it a go! github.com/ascorbic/cirrus If you don't know what Cirrus is, it's a really easy way to host your own Bluesky data
