What may be the most heartening part of #AtmosphereConf, besides the community, is that it's a *technical* conference at which people present on politics, authoritarianism, epistemic challenges (in the opening keynote!). Because, for technologists, *that's* the job.
as someone who has spent a lot of time around insufferable tech bros, the #ATmosphere conference was the least tech-bro infested tech conference I think I’ve ever been to (not counting RightsCon). it was a really friendly, welcoming, and *very* diverse crowd. i was impressed.
