Paste text below — or load it from a URL — and it highlights sentences that match known LLM clichés, including the tells catalogued in Wikipedia’s Signs of AI writing guide. Chain patterns like “no X, no Y” get a badge counting their items; tap or hover a highlight to see which cliché it hit.
Vision and Reality of Hypertext and GUIs: 2.1.13 Microcosm @mprove
Microcosm (cf. 2.1.13) is a research project at the University of Southampton. Like Intermedia five years before, Microcosm is designed around the idea that material of diverse sources and formats should be tied together into one hypertext. To achieve this goal links have to be separated from the documents. They are stored and maintained in special link databases. In contrast to Intermedia, Microcosm plays the active role in gathering the necessary data out of the documents. For each topic it stores data on which documents contain information about it and also where inside the documents the information is located. This elaborated conception of links can be seen more as a kind of Memex’ trails than simple one-to-one links. Given this structure dynamic linking becomes possible. This means that links can be associated with generic text strings. Wherever this string shows up a link is placed automatically. This has the effect that documents that are imported for the first time into Microcosm can have links immediately.

Oh look. It's that thing @corbinkbarthold.bsky.social warned us about. nytimes.com/2026/05/04/technology/trump-a…

I don't think I'm going to continue this one, but a prototype: calling gemini 3.1 flash voice to read everyone's tweets as radio announcers as you drive down a lonely desert highway further intention was to model the car interior so you can fully fidget with things; lights, the radio, etc etc
One of our big projects right now is a fully personalized custom feed algorithm in a “For You” style that only populates posts from Babesky verified creators. This feed is currently in its “beta” version and will continue to improve over time. Give it a try, & pin it to save it for later 💖

Feed by @babesky.comFinding real, quotable examples is key to my blog writing workflow. Because Google and the default web search produce a lot of junk, I use Exa, HackerNews, web search, what I've already written, and internal company docs to do this, and I recently added @semble.so to this stack.
Okay... This looks very cool. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 For researchers and reporters looking to find and collate material from across the web, imagine a search and bookmarking tool that's social. 📝📝📝 @semble.so let's you log in with your BlueSky account.

Interesting signal: Tailscale's co-founder (apenwarr) confirmed Tailscale SSH should work with Headscale. If you're self-hosting Headscale as your coordination server, that means you can get Tailscale's SSH features without depending on their cloud at all. Full self-hosted mesh + SSH tunneling.
One thing I left out of my The Everything Account piece was a whole section on Bridgy Fed. Short version: As Bridgy Fed adds more lexicons, it makes the Atmosphere the most versatile and data-owning Fediverse instance in the open social web. Perhaps in a future piece 😉

I wrote about what I've been calling "The Everything Account" If you're familiar with The Atmosphere, you already know how to get one, and this should hopefully help you explain it to others. For those of you who aren't, you'll be surprised to know you already have one; here's how you use it:

I saw Tim Berners-Lee's NeXT box when I visited CERN and what blows my mind is the faded torn sticker saying "This machine is a server DO NOT POWER IT DOWN". There was some point in time that was the only web server on Earth. "Do NOT turn this computer off the World Wide Web is on it"
