A folksonomy of lexicons - Chris's Corner
On the design and intent of different lexicons
In Which A Book Lexicon is Born
Hi everyone, We recently held a sync to discuss creating a shared book lexicon for the Atmosphere Protocol. I’ve shared the full recording (thanks Ronen!) and notes from the meeting here: Fathom with some early notes here: https://app.notion.com/p/Book-Lexicon-Session-1-211b2b43aabb8007b098d063972ca58c (also do we have a ATProto version of Notion yet?) The book logging social scene is highly fragmented. Dozens of Goodreads alternatives are competing but not interoperating, leading to a lack of...

How do we embed, display, and render different Lexicons across the ATmosphere?
Guidance on Authoring Lexicons
At last weekend's Atmosphere Conference, there were a lot of questions about how author Lexicons. I thought it would be a good idea to share some guidance.
poetic web: unfolding spiral
'poetic web: unfolding spiral' is a non-linear text I wrote as part of my bachelor thesis at the HFBK Hamburg. Driven by curiosity about the poetic web, the object of the text rather became the opening of a reflective space, where I could touch on the constraints and possibilities of language, words, worlds, and their artifacts, relation and meaning-making, smoothness, attention, and agency, and see how subtle shifts in understanding allowed for words to restructure and new meanings to grow.

Lexicon Community
Lexicon Community is a shared space for general discussion of lexicons, lexicon design, and shared usage of lexicons.

The Future of Text
We are a community dedicated to working on how we can better develop text to augment our capabilities and we invite you to join us. We believe that the potential of richly interactive text to truly augment how we think & communicate is massive. Text after all, is externalized symbols we can interact with to extend our mind’s reach. Therefore text is not just a medium, it is also a tool for thought, and we are looking Beyond Visual Range.
Nick's Blog
Lexicon Garden can help you explore and interact with lexicons both in the browser and with the help of your favorite agent.
Lexicon being self-documenting is a massively underappreciated feature of the AI/Atmosphere crossover.
Sensemaker
