I think for the open social web, especially the Atmosphere, separating creation and consumption apps that interop are a really good thing. No app has to be a jack of all trades. Blogging apps can focus on writing and distribution tools, reading apps can focus on aggregation and read later etc. 1/

www.ssp.sh@cozylittle.house has been advocating for something like this for a bit! I think it's tricky to get right but if we *do* it could be really awesome! There's an opportunity here to have *better* analytics and information shared than the web analytics status quo
