www.linkedin.comit's not abandoned. we iterated on the communities concept after you left. it's on the horizon. events are top of funnel. goal is to harness these to draw people into communities. come for the event, find your niches (communities), and then connect with people in more siloed / private spaces.
I call this the dark matter theory of science. Blogs, social media, etc - a majority of what actually influences science is invisible to the system (esp in AI) Real systems change in science will only be possible when we recognize these sources of influence and intentionally design for them
