Playing with atproto a little. Hackernews style platform can be an interesting alternative to bluesky UI.

I've released my first tagged version of Porxie alongside a write-up which details why I built it and why non-Bluesky ATProto platforms should consider moving away from using Bluesky's CDN. I've been using it to replace cdn‎.bsky.app while browsing Bluesky for 2 weeks now, and it's been great.

if you get this running, you can test it out on witchsky.app! just visit Runes under Settings and change the Image CDN option

The frustrating thing about this is that when you "Login with Bluesky", you're not even actually logging in with Bluesky The App. You may be using a Bluesky PBC-hosted PDS, but it has nothing to do with @bsky.app, other than it's the PDS you're assigned when you create an account on their client.
