Looks like Bluesky is having some issues with their CDN for some users. But not us, because we use the Blueat CDN, here's how you can use it: Open witchsky.app and go to Settings Navigate to the Runes section Find the Custom CDN field and enter cdn.blueat.net Images will now load directly from CDN! https://cdn.blueat.net

cdn.blueat.net is an alternative to the Bluesky CDN that's just as fast but powered by Cloudflare Workers with extra features.

btw favicon.blueat.net is a thing, use it on withcsky.app settings -> runes -> favicon service -> favicon.blueat.net it uses Cloudflare workers to cache the images on Cloudflare's edge and a KV namepace to store the site's favicon link when it's not at /favicon.ico

There is a confusion that keeps recurring, and it is understandable enough that it is worth addressing directly.

I've released my first tagged version of Porxie alongside a write-up which details why I built it and why non-Bluesky ATProto platforms should consider moving away from using Bluesky's CDN. I've been using it to replace cdn.bsky.app while browsing Bluesky for 2 weeks now, and it's been great.
Porxie - a correct, fast ATProto blob proxy
blooym.devif you get this running, you can test it out on witchsky.app! just visit Runes under Settings and change the Image CDN option

The frustrating thing about this is that when you "Login with Bluesky", you're not even actually logging in with Bluesky The App. You may be using a Bluesky PBC-hosted PDS, but it has nothing to do with @bsky.app, other than it's the PDS you're assigned when you create an account on their client.
