The Math of Idle Games, Part III
Originally published January 12, 2017 This three-part series is intended to break apart my MIGS 2016 slides [http://www.slideshare.net/AnthonyPecorella/the-rise-and-rise-of-idle-games-68916528] into what are hopefully detailed but accessible angles on the math and mechanics behind idle and incremental games. Prime Time Idle
69❤ 3.8⭐ | by sir_pinski This short (<60 minutes) game is based on an art project I had been planning for a while, and then realized that perhaps an idle game was the way to go instead. It's also an experiment in vibe coding - it's about 98% AI-written code, albeit with me spending a few dozen hours writing the prompts and debugging, and I think turned out pretty well. The game itself is a short-form incremental game that combines math and music to generate a song of epic proportions. Or at least of epic length. You'll see. Currently in a beta build, please share feedback, bugs, etc. Thanks! Unnamed Space Idle
Destroy endless waves of alien ships that have all but wiped out humanity in this long form, unfolding, sci-fi idle game. Customize your ship with different weapons and defenses to defeat specific enemy types and utilize a ton of different systems to increase your overall power.

For something so important for applications (arguably moreso than the forward Game Theory problem), I was surprised at how scattered are the resources to learn about it. Feels very jagged. Started a semble collection: semble.so/profile/mptouzel.bsky.social/…! Will add more later. Please consider adding as well!
