Housed in a premium CNC-machined enclosure, it’s the ultimate tool for power users, NAS enthusiasts, and creative professionals requiring massive bandwidth on the go.Key FeaturesTrue 10GbE Performance: Built on the Realtek RTL8159 chipset, supporting line-rate 10Gbps networking.USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Interface: Designed with a 20Gbps dual-lane interface to ensure enough overhead for full 10GbE throughput.Universal Compatibility: Backward compatible with 5G, 2.5G, 1G, and 100M/10M standards.Bus-Powered & Driverless: Plug-and-play on most modern OS (macOS, Windows, Linux).Industrial Design: Robust aluminum alloy shell for superior heat dissipation and durability.Important Performance Note (Read Before Purchase)To achieve the maximum 9.4Gbps+ (10GbE) throughput, the WP-UT9 requires a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) host port.Windows/Linux PC: Most modern motherboards with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports will achieve full 10GbE speed.macOS / Thunderbolt Ports: Apple Silicon Macs and Thunderbolt 3/4 ports currently do not support the "Gen 2x2" protocol. On these devices, the adapter will operate in Gen 2x1 (10Gbps) mode, resulting in a real-world maximum throughput of approximately 5.5 - 6.0Gbps due to USB protocol overhead.Driver NoteMost systems support plug-and-play. Some systems or specific OS versions/environments may require driver installation. For the latest drivers and support information, please visit Realtek’s official page:https://www.realtek.com/Download/List?cate_id=585Cable Recommendation10GbE: CAT6A or above5G / 2.5G: CAT61GbE or below: CAT5e or aboveLED IndicatorsAmber (Link): Solid on = Link establishedGreen (Activity): Blinking = Data activity (traffic)Technical SpecificationsFeatureSpecificationChipsetRealtek RTL8159Host InterfaceUSB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C (20Gbps)Network Port10G RJ45 (Supports Auto-Negotiation)LED IndicatorsAmber (Solid): Link established; Green (Blinking): Data ActivityDimensions59 x 29 x 13 mm (2.32 x 1.14 x 0.51 in)WeightAdapter: 37.7g | Total Package: 58.8gCable Length132 mm (High-quality USB-C to C cable included)

OKAY - it seemed like DFlash would be the clear winner. But it appears there have been some improvements with MTP.With MTP + split-mode = tensor, Qwen3.6-27B gets over 120 tokens/second on dual RTX 3090s (note I am running PCIE x16 on both, I don't have an NVLink bridge).… https://t.co/AQmqTJrof7 pic.twitter.com/RQSPVsNwMO— Joel - coffee/acc (@JoelDeTeves) June 29, 2026

USB hardware
The initial versions of the USB standard specified connectors that were easy to use and that would have high life spans; revisions of the standard added smaller connectors useful for compact portable devices. Higher-speed development of the USB standard gave rise to another family of connectors to permit additional data links. All versions of USB specify cable properties. Version 3.x cables, marketed as SuperSpeed, added a data link; namely, in 2008, USB 3.0 added a full-duplex lane (two twisted pairs of wires for one differential signal of serial data per direction), and in 2014, the USB-C specification added a second full-duplex lane.

The rate at which MCP support rolled out in the major vendor APIs is pretty astonishing: OpenAI added it May 21st, Anthropic launched theirs May 22nd and now Mistral have launched theirs on May 27th!My notes on the new Mistral announcement here: https://t.co/hmc0OfjFWQ— Simon Willison (@simonw) May 27, 2025
full-network space efficiency update: bad news: event though 84% of all repos are stale (no activity in 30 days), stale repos only make up 20% of the data in the network. moving them to cheap storage doesn't buy much. good news: the data in network is small?? like sub-1TB, minimal magic needed
