We're building libraries and tools in the Rust programming language! The streams are intended for users who are already somewhat familiar with Rust, but who want to see something larger and more involved be built. You can see earlier related videos by looking at the playlists and uploads on this channel. I post about upcoming streams and ideas for new ones at https://discord.jonhoo.eu, as well as on Twitter, Mastodon, and LinkedIn! Q&A tends to happen using https://wewerewondering.com/. Rust in 2021
This is my response for this year's call for blog posts. I am writing this as a language implementor, not as a language user. I also don't try to prioritize the problems. The two things I'll mention are the things that worry me most without reflecting on the overall state of the project. They are not necessary the most important things.

Christian Legnitto Interview, Maintainer: rust-gpu, rust-cuda [Rust Project Content @ RustConf 2025]
Rust And Game Development
Rust is excellent for performance crucial applications that run on multi-processor architectures and these two aspects are also critical for game development. Rust has already seen a bunch of interest from games developers like Chucklefish, Embark Studios, Ready at Dawn, etc. - but in order to really excel I’d love to organize some structured efforts to improve the ecosystem and I think it would be great if the 2019 roadmap will include game development.
Exploring ways to make async Rust easier
Asynchronous Rust is powerful but has a reputation for being hard to learn. There have been various ideas on how to fix the trickiest aspects, though with my focus being on Tokio 1.0, I had not been able to dedicate much focus to those topics. However, Niko’s async vision effort has recently started the discussion again, so I thought I would take some time to participate. In this article, I collect some previously proposed ideas and offer some new ones, tying them together to explore what could be.
Rust's Most Unrecognized Contributor
I think the Rust language is a big success. When I think back on it I am in awe: so much had to go right to get where we are, and there were so many opportunities to go wrong. It took many tiny miracles for the Rust language to become what it has. Those miracles didn’t happen by accident though: each one was created by a real person, and real people orchestrated them to become something great.
