(2/n) A feature solves one problem well — even delightfully well. But features get copied easily or absorbed into larger products. They have no distribution or adoption model. If your whole thing can become a pane in someone else's app, it's a feature.
Sad to announce that after much reflection, I'm stepping back from Lanyards development. My limited engineering skills meant I couldn't deliver what I wanted. It's been *really* fun to explore the @atproto.science space, and I'm thankful for the great support so far.
oh i forgot to mention in my talk, but some of us small indie relay operators are getting together to make @firehose.club so we can share network limit bumps and bans and build some shared tooling. we can go further together <3
