For reference, this is the same Martin Sellner whose work Anna Zeiter, CEO of W Social, posted admiration for, and when called out on it replied that people should be more open to "data-based" discussions. See the thread. When they wear MAGA hats, you know what you're seeing.

W Social has a page where they tracked European MPs accounts: europetalking.wsocial.news It's a cool study, but they have an indicator saying "# of representatives in the W ecosystem, by using the AT Protocol" This makes readers believe they are W users, which is misleading (very)
Really important to notice the sleight of hand here. Nobody reported that @wsocial.eu *leaked* the data (except for W Social saying in their denials that others reported this). We all agree this over-publication was done on purpose, by design, in a way that is not totally clear to everyday users.

birthDateApprox stores a generated date: 1 January of the birth year, shifted randomly within a 24-month range. The day and month have no connection to your birthday, and even the year may differ. We use it to derive an age range, balancing privacy with context about who is behind the keyboard.
Dear #WSocial verified users, who had your account verified after 16-09-2026: if you are not comfortable with your full name, nationality and approx. age being shared *outside* of W, on the open web, please DO NOT delete your account. I understand perfectly well. My questions concern the people behind the flood of content about W since we launched our beta in June. Who are they? Who funds them? What other financial interests might they have? And why is the site anonymous? Those are reasonable questions about transparency.
These records show W Social actively lobbying, specifically on age verification, not just hosting accounts. “W Identity and the EU Age Verification Blueprint.” meeting took place about two weeks before von der Leyen announced the EU-wide age limits in the State of the Union.
