The goal shouldn't be to get journalists and politicians posting on Bluesky, the goal should be to get them to adopt atproto. That requires different tactics, different products, different incentives.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as BlueSky, is in fact, atproto/BlueSky, or as I've recently taken to calling it, atproto plus BlueSky. BlueSky is not a service unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functioning distributed system made useful by atprot
