Making PWAs installable - Progressive web apps | MDN
One of the defining aspects of a PWA is that it can be promoted by the browser for installation on the device. Once installed, a PWA appears to users as a platform-specific app, a permanent feature of their device which they can launch directly from the operating system like any other app.

I’m 45 years old and using cooked to mean something that it never meant. I don’t know when it happened, but it’s out there along with vibe. Anyway… This post is all personal opinion. Before we go too deep, I just want to ground some of this article in the definition of a PWA. MDN has a good overview. “A progressive web app (PWA) is an app that’s built using web platform technologies, but that provides a user experience like that of a platform-specific app.”
